Abstract

The figurative meaning of proverbs is not always obvious and it requires certain level of contemplation. In the article we’ll try to analyze stylistic means used in the combination of proverbs and sayings. Stylistic devices such as simile, metaphor, hyperbole, alliterations are often used in proverbs and sayings.
